In 2009, three of the largest independently owned and operated dairies in the United States joined forces to bring a new level of quality and reliability to the milk products industry. Today, Idaho Milk Products stands alone as the industry's leading innovator in state-of-the-art milk processing.   Idaho Milk Products is a wholly owned stand-alone business in which the owner dairies provide guaranteed large scale milk supply from the milking operations into the plant operations. Our high quality and technically advanced dairies currently produce over 2.55 billion pounds of milk annually. The Idaho Milk Products plant is designed to bring in and convert 1.1 billion pounds of this annual total amount. Our milking partners are within forty-five minutes of the production facility. That unique proximity to our massive dedicated milk supply means that under normal operating procedures, Idaho Milk Products can transition raw milk at our milking parlors to final packaging within approximately twenty-four hours. Many other major suppliers can't even start processing their raw milk supply before it's over twenty-four hours old.   From our inception, we've adhered to our core belief that the freshest, most consistent milk product ingredients lead to the best tasting end products. To best meet our freshness goals, we worked with the leading designers  and builders of dairy processing plants in the United States, as well as top processing equipment suppliers. Today, we continue our partnerships with some of the leading universities in dairy research and education, including the Western Dairy Research Center at Utah State University, the Hungarian Dairy Research Center, the Center for Dairy Research at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.   As with all dairy processing, maintaining freshness is key. For Idaho Milk Products, freshness begins on our farms. The milk brought into the plant is split into its macro-nutrient components: protein, carbohydrates, fat and water through a series of steps utilizing standard dairy technologies but in new and innovative ways. The fat is separated and sold as IdaPro Cream, the protein is concentrated, dried and sold as IdaPro Milk Protein Concentrate (MPC) at protein levels of 70, 80, and 85 percent, and the carbohydrate is concentrated, crystallized, dried and sold as IdaPro Milk Permeate Powder.   Contact: Kent Giddings

RITE STUFF FOODS was created some 20 years ago by Mr. Thomas Madden. He was always very active in the food industry, but wanted to start a new company with new ideas and new products. He saw that there was a lack of quality restaurant options for potato side dishes in the foodservice industry. He went right to work and came up with several new twice baked potato recipes that caught on quickly within the industry. In the early stages of the company, most products were delivered from the factory floor directly to the individual restaurants by truck. After having success with many small restaurants, RITE STUFF FOODS continued to branch out with more new items and more production capacity within the single factory. More factory space was acquired and the company expanded its products to include potato skins, whole baked potatoes and specialty mashed products. In early 1999, RITE STUFF FOODS was relocated to its permanent location in Jerome Idaho. Even though the company had always utilized the highest quality Idaho Russet variety potato, moving into the ‘Famous Potato’ state just made good business sense. Today, RITE STUFF FOODS is one of the top manufactures in the specialty frozen potato industry. For twice baked potatoes, RITE STUFF FOODS can produce any size ranging between 3 oz up to 10 oz. The varieties include cheese, sour cream and chives, butter, broccoli, gourmet, and many special varieties. For potato skin products, RITE STUFF FOODS produces both half-cut potato skins and three-quarter cut potato boats. The sizing runs from a 3 inch profile all the way up to a 7 inch product. Other specialty products include mashed ( garlic, butter) Fried skin products, Fried and Filled ( bacon, cheddar, mozzarella, pepper jack, etc.) The Food Service and Retail industries continue to send challenges that will propel RITE STUFF FOODS into new and exciting areas.   Contact: Jim Madden
