Goals And Objectives Of The Jerome County Historical Society:
To bring together those people interested in Jerome County history.
To promote interest in, concern for, and appreciation of our heritage.
To investigate and preserve Jerome County memorabilia.
To establish a museum and oral history library concerning Jerome County.
The Jerome County Historical Society was established in 1981. Is is now located in the old rail road depot building at 212 First Avenue East.   Old history books, newspapers, ledgers, pictures, letters, law books, maps, archeological material, journals, books, Jerome County history books and other materials are available for study in the museum during business hours: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, excluding Holidays.
The Historical Idaho Farm and Ranch Museum is located on the Highway 93 and Interstate 84 junction.  The second week-end, September 17 & 18, the I Farm will be presenting their 27th Live History Days.  Flag raising is Saturday, 10:00 a.m.  Old Fashioned Church Service 11 a.m. Sunday.
