Since 1997, 20 school districts, the College of Southern Idaho and business partners have collaborated in order to expand the educational opportunities of students in its member districts. The Advanced Regional Technical Education Coalition (ARTEC)'s mission is to “collaboratively prepare all ARTEC member district students with the advanced skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for success in the 21st Century.” Programs in ARTEC member schools provide students who complete programs with the knowledge, employability skills and attitudes necessary to: pursue full-time employment with a skill certificate (where available) and/orenroll in a one-to-two-year technical program with earned college credit and/orenroll in a four-year traditional college programIn 2006, the ARTEC Regional Professional Technical Charter School opened which continues to support the original goals of the ARTEC coalition. Canyonside Christian School is a recognized leader in elementary education for the Magic Valley for over a decade. Our students come from Jerome, Twin Falls, Wendell, Gooding, Shoshone, and other area communities.   Pre-school - 5th Grade. Canyonside Christian School is located in Jerome Idaho, 5 miles north of the Snake River Canyon. The school is currently in its third location since it was established in 1990 by Caryl Burnham. Heritage Academy public charter school in Jerome, Idaho, serves students in grades K-6 teaching skills in both the core content areas and in critical thinking that lead to success in school, the workforce and the community. Heritage Academy will allow students to participate in instruction leading them to develop meta-cognitive skills.
